Kata Pengantar
Dengan memanjatkan puji dan syukur kehadirat Allah SWT, Alhamdulillah sebuah karya tulis yang berjudul “ Tomat Sebagai Alternatif Untuk Menghilangkan Bintik Hitam Pada Kulit Wajah “ dalam rangka meningkatkan wawasan dan pengetahuan ini dapat di selesaikan.
Tujuan dari terbentuknya karya tulis ini adalah untuk memberikan wawasan dan pengetahuan yangt mungkin dapat bermanfaat bagi para pembaca, serta dapat memahami bahwa semua yang diciptakan Tuhan pasti ada manfaat dan tujuannya.

BAB I
PENDAHULUAN
A. Latar Belakang Masalah
Akhir – akhir ini , pengaruh dari pemanasan global telah mempengaruhi cuaca di Negara kita. Ketika siang hari cuaca menjadi sangat panas akibat dari pemanasan global dan lapisan ozon yang semakin menipis. Hal tersebut sangat berbahaya bagi diri kita, karena sinar ultra violet dapat saja menembus lapisan ozon dan akan berdampak buruk pada kesehatan kulit kita, terutama kulit wajah.
Sinar ultra violet memang sangat berbahaya bila terkena kulit, karena dapat menimbulkan iritasi pada kulit. Sinar ultra violet juga dapat menimbulkan bintik hitam pada kulit wajah. Padhal masalah wajah menjadi masalah yang cukup bahkan sangat penting bagi kita, terutama para wanita. Bintik hitam pada wajah merupakan musuh paling menakutkan bagi wanita karena dapat membuat mereka tampil tidak percaya diri.
Selama ini para wanita banyak yang menghiraukan kulit wajah mereka akibat dari mahalnya perawatan kesehatan kulit wajah. Padahal, jika dibiarkan terus – menerus dan tidak dirawat kulit wajah akan rusak dan bahkan dapat menimbulkan kanker. Dari kasus tersebut, tomat yang mengandung zat lycopene sangat banyak dapat dijadikan yang efektif dan efisien untuk mengatasi masalah bintik hitam pada kulit wajah. Biaya yang murah menjadikan tomat sangat efektif dan efisien untuk mengatasi bintik hitam pada kulit wajah ditengah – tengah mahalnya kebutuhan pokok, barang – barang, serta biaya kesehatan yang semakin mahal akibat dari krisis ekonomi yang terjadi di Negara kita. Jadi, tidak ada salahnya jika kita mencoba yang murah tapi sangat efektif dan lebih efisien.
B. Rumusan Masalah
Berdasarkan latar belakang diatas, dapat dirumuskan permasalahn sebagai berikut :
1. Bagaimana proses munculnya bintik hitam pada kulit wajah ?
2. Bagaimanakah cara mengatasi bintik hitam pada kulit wajah ?
C. Tujuan Penelitian
Sesuai dengan permasalahan diatas, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah:
1. Mendeskripsikan proses munculnya bintik hitam pada wajah.
2. Mendeskripsikan cara mengatasi bintik hitam pada wajah.
D. Manfaat Penelitian
Penelitian ini mempunyai manfaat sebagai berikut :
1. Bagi para wanita, penelitian ini dapat di jadikan sebagai alternatif untuk perawatan kesehatan kulit wajah.
2. Bagi para peneliti, penelitian ini dapat dijadikan dasar untuk menciptakan obat untuk perawatan kesehatan kulit wajah yang efektif dan tidak mempunyai efek samping.
3. Bagi para penyuluh, penelitian ini dapat dijadikan bahan dalam memberikan penyuluhan kepada masyarakat khususnya para wanita tentang cara merawat kesehatan kulit wajah dengan biaya yang murah tapi sangat efektif dan efisien.
4. Bagi para peneliti, penelitian ini dapat dijadikan kajian awal untuk melakukan penelitian lanjutan.
BAB II
LANDASAN TEORI
A. Hakikat Manfaat Buah Tomat
Tomat adalah tanaman yang paling mudah dijumpai, selain kaya akan vitamin C dan A, tomat juga dapat untuk mengobati berbagai macam penyakit. Ada dua jenis tomat, yaitu tomat buah dan tomat sayur. Tomat buah adalah tomat yang berbentuk lonjong dan kulitnya tebal. Sedangkan tomat sayur adalah tomat yang berbentuk bulat dan kulitnya tipis. Tomat buah biasanya dikonsumsi tanpa dimasak terlebih dahulu dan memiliki daya tahan yang lama. Sedangkan tomat sayur biasanya dikonsumsi sebagai bahan campuran pada sayuran yang dimasak dan tomat sayur lebih cepat membusuk.
Tomat yang memiliki nama lain Lyopercisium esculentum ini pada mulanya ditemukan disekitar Peru, Ekuador, dan Bolivia, kemudian menyebar hingga ke Asia Tenggara. Tomat memiliki dua warna, yaitu warna merah dan hijau. Perbedaan warna ini menunjukan kandungan Vitaminnya. Menurut seorang Dokter Gizi yang bernama Dr. Leane Suniar Mamurang, Msc. “ Tomat yang baik untuk dikonsumsi adalah tomat yang berwarna merah, karena tomat yang berwarna merah mengandung vitamin C dan A lima kali lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan tomat yang berwarna hijau.
Selain untuk masakan tomat juga banyak digunakan untuk makanan seperti jus, sup, pasta dan lain – lain. Rasanya yang sedikit asam dapat meningkatkan selera makan. Menurut penelitian Dr. John Cook Bennet dari Wiloughby University, Ohio, sebagai orang pertama yang meneliti manfaat tomat, pada November 1834, menunjukan bahwa tomat dapat mengobati berbagai macam penyakit seperti diare, serangan empedu, gangguan pencernaan, dan memulihkan fungsi lever. Peneliti lain Rowett Research Institute di Aberden, Skotladia, juga berhasil menemukan manfaat tomat lainnya, menurutnya gel yang berwarna kuning yang menyelubungi biji tomat dapat mencegah penggumpalan dan pembekuan darah yang dapat menyebabkan penyakit jantung dan stroke.
Tomat juga banyak mengandung zat Lycopene, yaitu suatu zat antioksidan yang dapat menghancurkan Radikal bebas dalam tubuh akibat dari polusi dan sinar Ultra Violet matahari. Selain itu Lycopene juga dapat menghaluskan kulit wajah dan menghilangkan bintik hitam pada kulit wajah akibat terkena sinar Ultra Violet. Memang, Lycopene tidak hanya ditemukan pada tomat, tetapi juga pada anggur merah, semangka dan pepaya. Namun, lycopene yang paling banyak terdapat pada tomat.
- Munculnya Bintik Hitam Pada Wajah
Bintik hitam pada wajah adalah musuh paling menakutkan bagi wanita, karena dapat membuat mereka tampil kurang percaya diri. Bintik hitam pada kulit wajah biasanya muncul akibat terkena sinar Ultra Violet matahari secara langsung. Hal ini dapat berbahaya terhadap kesehatan kulit wajah jika dibiarkan secara terus - menerus dan tidak melakukan perawatan, karena dapat menyebabkan kulit wajah rusak dan bahkan dapat menyebabkan kanker. Dalam hal ini, tomat dapat dijadikan alternatif untuk menghilangkan bintik hitam pada wajah, karena tomat mempunyai zat Lycopene yang dapat menghancurkan Radikal bebas akibat sinar Ultra Violet.
BAB III
METODE PENELITIAN
A . Tempat dan waktu penelitian
Penelitian ini dilakukan di Tegal, Jawa Tengah, pada tanggal 27 Januari – 7 februari 2011.
B . Subjek Penelitian
Subjek penelitian adalah buah tomat.
C . Instrumen Penelitian
Instrumen penelitian berupa tomat yang sudah dihancurkan atau di haluskan sampai lembut.
D . Prosedur Penelitian
Prosedur penelitian menggunakan langkah – langkah sebagai berikut:
1 . Memilih beberapa tomat yang berwarna merah.
2 . Menghaluskan tomat tersebut sampai lembut.
3 . Memasukan 1 sendok makan putih telur kedalam tomat yang sudah dihaluskan tersebut.
4 . Mengoleskan pada wajah dan mendiamkan sekitar 10 – 30 menit.
5 . Melakukan pengamatan setelah manggunakan masker tomat dalam beberapa hari.
BAB IV
HASIL PENELITIAN
A . Munculnya Bintik Hitam Pada Kulit Wajah
Bintik hitam pada wajah adalah musuh yang paling ditakutkan para wanita, karena dapat membuat mereka tampil kuran percaya diri. Bintik hitam pada wajah biasanya muncul akibat terkena sinar Ultra Violet secara langsung. Jika dibiarkan secara terus – menerus dan tidak melakukan perawatan, bintik hitam pada wajah akan semakin banyak sehingga menyebabkan kulit wajah rusak dan bahkan dapat menyebabkan kanker. Sinar ultra violet memang sangat berbahaya jika terkena kulit kita, apalagi jika terkena wajah. Ole karena itu, kita harus bias menjaga dan merawat kesehatan kulit wajah kita.
B . Mengatasi Bintik Hitam pada Wajah
Banyak cara untuk mengatasi bintik hitam pada wajah, tapi yang paling efektif dan efisien adalah dengan menggunakan masker tomat. Karena selain efektif dan efisien, menggunakan tomat sebagai masker wajah juga tidak memerlukan biaya yang mahal.
Tomat dapat dijadikan alternatif untuk menghilagkan bintik hitam pada wajah adalah karena tomat mengandung zat Lycopene yaitu zat antioksidan yang dapat menghancurkan Radikal bebas akibat polusi udara dan sinar ultra violet.
Cara membuat masker tomat untuk mengatasi bintik hitam pada wajah adalah dengan memilih tomat merah yang bagus, menghancurkan atau menghaluskan tomat tersebut sampai halus, kemudian masukan 1 sendok makan putih telur pada tomat yang sudah dihaluskan tersebut, lalu oleskan pada wajah dan diamkan sekitar 10 – 30 menit. lakukan hal itu secara rutin setiap hari , maka bintik hitam pada wajah akan hilang dan juga kulit wajah akan menjadi halus.
Untuk mendapatkan hasil yang baik, pilihlah tomat yang berwarna merah, hal itu karena tomat yang berwarna merah memiliki kandungan zat Lycopene lima kali lebih banyak dari pada tomat yang berwarna hijau. Dengan demikian hasil yang diperoleh setelah menggunakan masker tomat secara rutin setiap hari tidak sia – sia dan akan lebih memuaskan.
BAB V
PENUTUP
A . Kesimpulan
Berdasarkan permasalahan dan penelitian diatas, dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut :
1 . Bintik hitam pada wajah muncul akibat terkena sinar ultra violet matahari secara langsung.
2 . tomat mengandung zat Lycopene, yaitu zat antioksidan yang dapat menghancurkan Radikal bebas akibat polusi udara dan juga sinar ultra violet dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi bintik hitam pada wajah serta dapat menghaluskan kulit wajah.
B . Saran
Saran yang dapat disampaikan dari penelitian ini adalah :
1 . Para wanita maupun laki - laki dapat memanfaatkan penelitian ini untuk mengatasi bintik hitam pada wajah serta untuk menghaluskan kulit wajah.
2 . Para peneliti dapat menjadikan penelitian ini sebagai dasar untuk menciptakan masker wajah yang lebih efektif dan efisien serta tidak berefek samping.
3 . Para penyuluh dapat menjadikan penelitian ini bahan dalam memberikan penyuluhan kepada masyarakat khususnya wanita tentang merawat kesehatan wajah yang efektif dan efisien serta tidak perlu biaya yang mahal.
4 . penelitian ini dapat dijadikan dasar sebagai kajian awal untuk melakukan penelitian lebih lanjut.

Talaga Warna
A long time ago, there was a kingdom in West Java. The king was wise and kind-hearted. No wonder the
kingdom was prosperous. Unfortunately, he hadn’t any children yet.
The king and the queen were so sad. They were lonely. Furthermore, they were worried about who
would be their successor.
Wanting to have a child, the king went to the forest and prayed to God. God granted his wish. A few
months later, the queen got pregnant.
When a baby girl was born, people welcomed her happily. They presented so many gifts. Day by day, the princess grew more and more beautiful. The king and queen spoiled her too much. It made the princess have a bad temper.
Before her seventeenth birthday, many people gave her beautiful presents. The king took some gold and
jewels. He asked a goldsmith to make a beautiful necklace for the princess.
On the princess birthday, people gathered in the courtyard. Cheers grew louder and louder when the
king, queen, and princess appeared.
“My beloved daughter, I give this necklace for you. People in this kingdom love you so much. It is a gift from
them,” said the king while presenting the necklace.
The princess accepted and looked at it briefly. “I don’t want it. It’s ugly!” Then she threw it away.
Everybody was speechless. Nobody could say anything. They didn’t believe that the princess would do
such cruel thing to hurt everybody’s feeling. The queen and the people were sad. They began crying.
Then there was a miracle. The earth was crying, too. Suddenly, a spring emerged from the ground. The
water drowned the entire kingdom.
People called the lake “Talaga Warna”. On a bright day, it is full of colors. The colors come from the shadows of a forests, plants, flowers, and sky around the lake. However, some people said that the shadows are from the pieces of princess’ necklace which are scattered at the bottom of the lake.

So many years ago in the Andes mountains a small cat and dog became very good friends. The dog, Delta, and the cat, Echo, had an interesting life. This is their story, told in my
words, and relived in many. As Delta ran in after his morning cup of tea that he always had looking over the valley far below he started to tell Echo of the wonderful news that he
had herd..."Echo, Echo, I can't believe it if what they say is true they have struck gold and silver over the next mountain. The entire valley is all at a buzz about it and they are all
packing up to come over this mountain." Echo, who was very flabbergasted by this time and didn't know what the sagnifigance of this story that Delta was telling her was, stood
up and started to pat her now hyperventilating friend, Delta, on the back. "Okay, Delta, okay what is the big deal maybe we will have some company." "No, you don't understand
what this means It will take them all at least two days to get up this mountain and they leave tomorrow. If we leave now we would be able to get to the gold all for ourselves. We'll
split it down the middle fifty-fifty before anyone even gets there." "I'll pack our lunches." The two packed a few neccasary belongings and rushed out the door of their small
cottage hoping that they would never have to come back for the riches they would find would allow them to buy a much bigger house to live in the lap of luxury. They walked
hand in hand up over this mountain, They were the best of friends. After a while of walking they decided to rest for the night and set up camp. After they drank their hot chocolate
the lied down and tried to go to sleep. Thoughts were to wild for them to settle and thoughts of the riches they would both enjoy and then the wild thoughts started to turn to
envy. And each one started thinking that the other would try to get all the gold for theirselves and not share. Instead of sleeping they both slowly started to plan the others death.
Neither one spoke when they awoke and they walked slowly on. then the plots for each ones death slowly started to unravel Echo saw the poisonous flower that she had known
grew on the mountain and she, without notice, swiftly moved over to the low purple flower and with one small bound picked up the flower and with evil eyes held the tender flower
between her claws careful not to bleed the flower, and poison herself. That night when they arrived at their camp site and both slept on opposite sides. Echo boiled some water...
Then in the morning Echo offered Delta a nice cup of tea. Little did Delta know that the night before Echo had spent the night boiling the flower and secreting the poisonous
venom like oil. As Delta sipped his death, Echo started to regret her actions of the night before and reached out to snatch the brawl out of Delta's hands. ...It was too late... Delta
had consumed the entire drink and now slowly started to drift off to sleep. Echo, now realizing that she would be loosing her best friend started to yell and scream at Delta to keep
him awake. Echo held Delta in her arms and started to sob. Never had she ever expected to actually kill her best friend and the fact that it was over gold brought her to tears.
Gold that she would now never find. Echo could not believe that her eyes of green had seen her best friend die. And now that she looked down and saw her breathless best friend
she picked up the cup and carefully licked the cup clean and slowly poisoned herself. In the sacrifice she made of Delta she then sacrificed her life to apologize to Delta in the after life
Loro Jonggrang
Folklore from Central Java
Once upon a time, there was a kingdom named Prambanan. The people lived peacefully. However, soon their happy lives were disturbed by Pengging Kingdom. The king, Bandung Bondowoso, wanted to occupy Prambanan. He was a mean king.
The war between Prambanan and Pengging could not be avoided. Prambanan lost the war and led by the new king, Bandung Bondowoso. Pengging could win the war because Bandung Bondongwoso had a supernatural power.
His soldiers were not only humans but also genies. Those creatures always obeyed Bandung Bondowoso. They always did whatever Bandung Bondowoso asked them to do. The king of Prambanan had a beautiful daughter. Her name was Loro Jonggrang. Bandung Bondowoso fell in love with her and wanted to marry her.
"If you want to marry me, you have to build a thousand of temples in just one night," said Loro Jonggrang. She hated Bandung Bondowoso because he made the people of Prambanan suffered. "What? Impossible! You just gave me an excuse for not marrying me!" said Bandung Bondowoso. But he did not give up. He asked the genies to help him.
Then all those genies worked hard to build the 1.000 temples. Meanwhile, Loro Jonggrang heard from the lady-inwaiting that the building of 1.000 temples was almost finished.
She was so scared; she did not want to marry Bandung Bondowoso. And then she had a great idea. She asked all the ladies-inwaiting to help her.
"Please prepare a lot of straw and mortar. Come on! Hurry up!" said Loro Jonggrang. All those ladies-in-waiting were confused. They did not know why Loro Jonggrang asked them to prepare a lot of straw and mortars in the middle of the night.
"Listen, all those genies are building the temples, right? We have to stop them by burning the straw and make some noise by pounding the mortar. The genies will think that sun is going to rise and they will run away. Genies are afraid of sunlight." It worked! All those genies thought that sun rose. They did not know the light was from the fire that burning the straw. And the noise from pounding the mortar was like the start of a new day.
Bandung Bondowoso was angry. He knew Loro Jonggrang just tricked him. "You cannot fool me, Loro Jonggrang. I already have 999 temples. I just need one more temple. Now, I will make you the one-thousandth temple." With his supernatural power, Bandung Bondowoso made Loro Jonggrang a temple. Until now, the temple is still standing in Prambanan area, Central Java. And the temple is named Loro Jonggrang temple. ***

Pak Dungu
Folklore from Central Java
PAK Dungu and his wife lived in a village. His name is Dungu because people thought that he is stupid. People always made fun of him.
One day, his wife asked Pak Dungu to sell their cow to the market.
“Remember, don’t sell the cow less than 250 rupiahs,” said the wife to Pak Dungu.
Unfortunately, Pak Busuk heard their conversation. He is a bad man and always tricks people. He immediately went to his friend’s house, Pak Cokel and Pak Colek. Together, they were planning to trick Pak Dungu.
On the way to the market, Pak Dungu met Pak Busuk.
“Where are you going, Pak Dungu?” asked Pak Busuk.
“I want to go to the market. I want to sell my cow,” answered Pak Dungu.
“A cow? Are you kidding? This is not a cow, this is a goat.”
Pak Dungu was upset, and then continues walking. Later, he met Pak Cokel. He asked Pak Dungu the same question.
“How much?” asked Pak Cokel.
“Two hundred and fifty rupiahs.”
“Wow, that is too expensive for a goat,” said Pak Cokel.
Again Pak Dungu was upset. He thought Pak Cokel was crazy just like Pak Busuk. They thought his cow as a goat.
He ignored Pak Cokel and continued walking, and then he met Pak Colek. Again, Pak Colek said that Pak Dungu did not have a cow but a goat. Pak Dungu was confused. Because Pak Dungu did not want to lose a lot of money, he then sold his ‘goat’ to Pak Colek.
At home, his wife was angry. She asked Pak Dungu to find Pak Colek to get his cow back. Pak Dungu was very sad. He blamed himself for being stupid. He then prayed and then got an idea. He bought a small bell and told all the sellers to help him. Every time he ate or bought something at their places, Pak Dungu did not have to pay. All the sellers agree to help; they knew Pak Dungu was a kind man.
“Hello friends, I want to treat you. Let’s eat,” said Pak Dungu to Pak Busuk, Pak Cokel, and Pak Colek.
They all were eating and after they had finished, Pak Dungu rang the bell. When the seller heard the bell ring, he said, “Ok, you have already paid.”
They then walked to another seller. After Pak Dungu rang the bell, the seller said Pak Dungu had already paid.
Pak Busuk, Pak Cokel, and Pak Colek thought that Pak Dungu had a magic bell. So they asked Pak Dungu to sell it for them. Pak Dungu agreed but he said that the price was Rp250. They agreed and paid the money to Pak Dungu.
After they had the bell, they went to a big restaurant. They ordered a lot of food. After they were full, they rang the bell and left. They restaurant owner was angry. He called the police and said that they were criminals. They ate and did not want to pay. The police then sent them to the jail! ***
PAK Dungu and his wife lived in a village. His name is Dungu because people thought that he is stupid. People always made fun of him.
One day, his wife asked Pak Dungu to sell their cow to the market.
“Remember, don’t sell the cow less than 250 rupiahs,” said the wife to Pak Dungu.
Unfortunately, Pak Busuk heard their conversation. He is a bad man and always tricks people. He immediately went to his friend’s house, Pak Cokel and Pak Colek. Together, they were planning to trick Pak Dungu.
On the way to the market, Pak Dungu met Pak Busuk.
“Where are you going, Pak Dungu?” asked Pak Busuk.
“I want to go to the market. I want to sell my cow,” answered Pak Dungu.
“A cow? Are you kidding? This is not a cow, this is a goat.”
Pak Dungu was upset, and then continues walking. Later, he met Pak Cokel. He asked Pak Dungu the same question.
“How much?” asked Pak Cokel.
“Two hundred and fifty rupiahs.”
“Wow, that is too expensive for a goat,” said Pak Cokel.
Again Pak Dungu was upset. He thought Pak Cokel was crazy just like Pak Busuk. They thought his cow as a goat.
He ignored Pak Cokel and continued walking, and then he met Pak Colek. Again, Pak Colek said that Pak Dungu did not have a cow but a goat. Pak Dungu was confused. Because Pak Dungu did not want to lose a lot of money, he then sold his ‘goat’ to Pak Colek.
At home, his wife was angry. She asked Pak Dungu to find Pak Colek to get his cow back. Pak Dungu was very sad. He blamed himself for being stupid. He then prayed and then got an idea. He bought a small bell and told all the sellers to help him. Every time he ate or bought something at their places, Pak Dungu did not have to pay. All the sellers agree to help; they knew Pak Dungu was a kind man.
“Hello friends, I want to treat you. Let’s eat,” said Pak Dungu to Pak Busuk, Pak Cokel, and Pak Colek.
They all were eating and after they had finished, Pak Dungu rang the bell. When the seller heard the bell ring, he said, “Ok, you have already paid.”
They then walked to another seller. After Pak Dungu rang the bell, the seller said Pak Dungu had already paid.
Pak Busuk, Pak Cokel, and Pak Colek thought that Pak Dungu had a magic bell. So they asked Pak Dungu to sell it for them. Pak Dungu agreed but he said that the price was Rp250. They agreed and paid the money to Pak Dungu.
After they had the bell, they went to a big restaurant. They ordered a lot of food. After they were full, they rang the bell and left. They restaurant owner was angry. He called the police and said that they were criminals. They ate and did not want to pay. The police then sent them to the jail! ***
Timun Mas
ONCE upon a time, not far from a jungle, lived husband and a wife. The were farmers. The were diligent farmers and always worked hard on the paddy fields. They had been married for many years and still not have a child yet. Everyday they prayed and prayed for a child.
One night, while they were praying, a giant passed their house. The giant heard they pray.
"Don't worry farmers. I can give you a child. But you have to give me that child when she is 17 years old," said the giant.
The farmers were so happy. They did not think about the risk of losing their child later and agree to take the offer. Later, the giant gave them a bunch of cucumber seeds. The farmers planted them carefully. Then the seeds changed into plants.
Not longer after that, a big golden cucumber grew from plants. After it had ripe, the farmers picked and cut it. They were very surprised to see beautiful girl inside the cucumber. They named her Timun Mas or Golden Cucumber. Years passed by and Timun Mas has changed into a beautiful girl.
On her 17th birthday, Timun Mas was very happy. However, the parents were very sad. They knew they had to keep their promise to the giant but they also did not want to lose their beloved daughter.
"My daughter, take this bag. It can save you from the giant," said the father.
"What do you mean, Father? I don't understand," said Timun Mas.
Right after that, the giant came into their house.
"Run Timun Mas. Save your life!" said the mother. The giant was angry. He knew the farmers wanted to break their promise. He chased Timun Mas away. The giant was getting closer and closer.
Timun Mas then opened the bag and threw a handful of salt. It became sea. The giant had to swim to cross the sea. Later, Timun Mas threw some chilly. It became a jungle with trees. The trees had sharp thorns so they hurt the giant.
However, the giant was still able to chase Timun Mas. Timun Mas took her third magic stuff. It was cucumber seeds. She threw them and became cucumber field.
But the giant still could escape from the field. Then it was the last magic stuff she had in the bag. It was a shrimp paste, terasi. She threw it and became a big swamp.
The giant was still trying to swim the swamp but he was very tired. Then he was drowning and died. Timun Mas then immediately went home. The farmers were so happy that they finally together again.***

Keong Emas (The Golden Snail)
PRINCE Raden Putra and Dewi Limaran were husband and wife. They lived in a palace. Prince Raden Putra's father was the king of the kingdom.
One day, Dewi Limaran was walking around in the palace garden. Suddenly she saw a snail. It was ugly and disgusting.
"Yuck!" said Dewi Limaran and then she threw it away into a river.
She did not know that the snail was actually an old and powerful witch. She could transform herself into anything. The witch was angry to Dewi Limaran. The witch put a spell on her and changed her into a golden snail. The witch then threw it away into the river.
The golden snail was drifting away in the river and got caught into a net. An old woman was fishing and used her net to catch some fish. She was surprised to see a golden snail in her net. She took it and brought it home. When the old woman woke up in the morning, she was surprised that the house was in the good condition. The floor was mopped. And she also had food on the table. She was thinking very hard.
"Who did this to me? The person is very kind." It happened again and again every morning.
The old woman was very curious. One night she decided to stay up late. She was peeping from her room to know who cooked for her. Then, she could not believe what she saw. The golden snail she caught in the river turned into a beautiful woman. The old woman approached her.
"Who are you, young girl?"
"I am Dewi Limaran, Ma'am. A witch cursed me. I can change back as a human only at night," explained Dewi Limaran.
"The spell can be broken if I hear the melody from the holy gamelan," continued Dewi Limaran.
The old woman then rushed to the palace. She talked to Prince Raden Putra about her wife.
Prince Raden Putra was so happy. He had been looking for his wife everywhere.
He then prayed and meditated. He asked the gods to give him the holy gamelan. He wanted to break the witch's spell. After several days praying and meditating, finally gods granted his wish. He immediately brought the holy gamelan to the old woman's house. He played it beautifully. And then amazingly the golden snail turned into the beautiful Dewi Limaran.
The couple was so happy that they could be together again. They also thanked the old woman for her kindness. As a return, they asked her to stay in the palace. ***
"Malin Kundang Story"
Malin Kundang was a healthy, dilligent, and strong boy. He usually went to sea to catch fish. After getting fish he would bring it to his mother, or sold the caught fish in the town.
One day, when Malin Kundang was sailing, he saw a merchant's ship which was being raided by a small band of pirates. He helped the merchant. With his brave and power, Malin Kundang defeated the pirates. The merchant was so happy and thanked to him. In return the merchant asked Malin Kundang to sail with him. To get a better life, Malin Kundang agreed. He left his mother alone.
Many years later, Malin Kundang became wealthy. He had a huge ship and was helped by many ship crews loading trading goods. Perfectly he had a beautiful wife too. When he was sailing his trading journey, his ship landed on a beach near a small village. The villagers recognized him. The news ran fast in the town; “Malin Kundang has become rich and now he is here”.
An old woman ran to the beach to meet the new rich merchant. She was Malin Kundang’s mother. She wanted to hug him, released her sadness of being lonely after so long time. Unfortunately, when the mother came, Malin Kundang who was in front of his well dressed wife and his ship crews denied meeting that old lonely woman. For three times her mother begged Malin Kundang and for three times he yelled at her. At last Malin Kundang said to her "Enough, old woman! I have never had a mother like you, a dirty and ugly woman!" After that he ordered his crews to set sail. He would leave the old mother again but in that time she was full of both sadness and angriness.
Finally, enraged, she cursed Malin Kundang that he would turn into a stone if he didn't apologize. Malin Kundang just laughed and really set sail.
In the quiet sea, suddenly a thunderstorm came. His huge ship was wrecked and it was too late for Malin Kundang to apologize. He was thrown by the wave out of his ship. He fell on a small island. It was really too late for him to avoid his curse. Suddenly, he turned into a stone.

Many believe that a story can teach a society certain moral value. Most stories are build in narrative. Because it is a narrative story, it must consists of complication. That complication, in fact, is the moral value which like to be taught.
